   There is a townsland between the parish of Kilruane and Ardoroney and it is called Kilrea. There is a hill in Kilrea and on the top of it there are trees. A grave is in the middle of the wood and there is a headstone on it. A man is supposed to have been buried there. About sixty years ago when Tolers lived in Beechwood a light used to go from the grave in the direction of Beechwood and then come back by the same way, and stop at the grave. I do not know what it is but people say the grove is haunted.

2. The Fairy Woman

   Between the townsland of Barriganagh and Beechwood there is a very wide turn of the road. This place is supposed to be haunted and there are many stories told about it. Here is one of them.
   A man was one night passing by this turn at about twelve o clock in the night. It was a moonlight night and it was very cold. When he came to the turn he heard a noise behind him like as if somebody were marching. He did not mind it as he thought he only imagined it. So he went along agin. Then a second he heard the marching again.
