  2. Between the townsland of Barriganagh and Beechwood there is a very wide turn of the road. This place is supposed to be haunted and there are many stories told about it. Here is one of them.
    A man was one night passing by this turn at about twelve o clock in the night. It was a moonlight night and it was very cold. When he came to the turn he heard a noise behind him like as if somebody were marching. He did not mind it as he thought he only imagined it. So he went along agin. Then a second he heard the marching again.
