  2. In the parish of Kilruane there is a townland called Beechwood. There is a house there called Beachwood House. Long ago in was owned by a lady named Lady Osborne.
    One time she issued an order that a fire should be lighted in her garden every night. A man went in one night to light the fire. When he came out he noticed that the gate was not the same as left it. When he closed it someone opened it again.
