   In the parish of Puckane there is a churchyard called Kilordiernan. Near this churchyard there is a lake, In this churchyard there are only Chatolics buried. Once upon a time there was a Protestant buried there and the people of the place let the corpse out upon the lake. Some time after there was a funeral there and a man who was at the funeral saw the head of a man rising above the water. It must have been the head of the man that was let out on the lake.

   Once upon a time a king wanted to kill the bishop of Canterbury. The bishop had a brother a fool. The fool (wanted) would not let the bishop go on the visit to the King when he was invited. But he said that he would go and put on the bishops dress. When he arrived at the King's palace the King asked him "is God sitting or standing" and the fool said the house is his own and he can sit or stand which ever he likes. Then the King asked him to know how long would it take him to go round with the
