Some boys play handball and others go fishing. We also play rounders and frogjumping which is known locally by the old people.
In the Summer months we go catching eels and jumping trenches.
During the long Winter nights while sitting round the fire we play cards, draughts, snakes and ladders and ludo.
The local girls play rounders beds and cat. They also gather cow-slips of which they make chains and they also collect papers from sweets of which they make belts. They also play tig and hide and go seek during Winter.
