  1. Recently, the majority of marriages, take place on Shrove Tuesday, and also at various times during the year with the exception of harvest time. Several people say, it is unlucky to get married during season of Autumn. The old saying connected with it is, that what is bound in the harvest, is reaped in the Spring. Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, are lucky days to get married on. There is also a verse of poetry composed which deals with the days of the week on which people get married.
