    There is a fairy fort or Lios situated on the lands of Julius Sheppard, Ballingrane. The field where the fort is situated is not far from the owners house. It is in the middle of the field. It is surrounded by hazel and whitehorn trees. The owner uses the land for grazing.
    It is said, that the Danes, built the fort. It is also said that a light is to be seen in the fort at midnight but nobody has the courage to go by the fort, at such a late hour at night. One night a man lost his way going through that particular field, where the fort was
