  1. There is a well called Saint Patricks well about two and a half miles south of Ballingarry. It is said that Saint Patrick was going from Ardagh to Bruree and he blessed that well. The prayers said at the well are a decade for every round. There is a stream near the well and you should wash your face and eyes in the stream to get cured of sore eyes.
