  1. Potatoes are grown on my father's farm. They are grown every year.
    My father grows one acre and a half of potatoes every year.
    Some years the amount of potatoes are very little. Other years the potatoes grow very small and other years they grow very large. Other years the potatoes grow black. They are of little use to my father because he cannot sell them or he cannot eat them. He boils the black potatoes and the small potatoes for the pigs.
    My father and my brother prepare the ground for the potatoes. My father ploughs the ground. My brother harrows it.
    Sometimes the farmyard manure is spread over the level ground. The ground is ploughed when the farmyard manure is spread over the land.
