  1. One Night a man was coming home from work, as he was passing the Spa glen (Mallow) he was singing a song "dé Luain, dé Mairt"; "dé Luain, dé Mairt." This man had a hump. When the fairies heard him singing they came out and they took the hump off his back.
Next morning he told of his adventure to another man with a hump. That night the man went to the Spa Glen singing "dé Luain, dé Mairt, dé Céadoin." The fairies however, were not pleased with his addition and they put Jack Madden's (the man who came first) hump on him.
