  1. A story told locally.
Once upon a time there lived a man named Dan Mc Carthy. There lived with him his wife and children and they were very poor. One day the Landlord said he would put them out of the house because they had not [paid] the rent. Dan had nothing left but a cow, and his wife sent him to the fair with the cow.
When he came to "Bottle Hill" he met a dwarf who had a bottle in his hand. He said he would give Dan the bottle for the cow and so after some time Dan accepted the offer. But the dwarf told Dan to place the bottle on a clean table and to say " Bottle, Bottle, do your duty ". Dan said it would be all right and went home very pleased.
When he reached home his wife put the bottle on the table and said " Bottle, Bottle do your duty. " Immediately three men jumped out of the bottle each holding a plate of gold and Dan was delighted.
