    told him that he might be sorry for it before night. He sent his son and his horse to a river called the Blackwater for sand. He was not returning. In due time they went in search of him and they found him and the horse drowned in a hole in the river. So the building was stopped and it was not built since.
    There were thirteen O'Connells - a father and his twelve sons - mowing in a field on a fairday (before the fair started). Máire was passing the field in a horse and car and she said it was the last day they would be seen together alive. One of them was killed in the faction fight at Knocknagree fair that evening.
    John O'Connell informed me that this story is true. The man killed was Billy O'Connell - his granduncle - 120 yrs ago. This is the first time I have discovered that a man was killed in a faction fight.
