    and write. He was a labourer. Anne Murphy Kiskeam. Newmarket, Co. Cork was able to read and write. She was a farmer's wife. Their songs are still sung by some of the people in my district. The neighbours liked these poets very well, but the most of the people did not want them to make any songs about themselves.
    Dan Hickie Umeraboy, Kiskeam, Newmarket Co. Cork is a poet but he is not so good. Dan Hickie and Con Mahony often make songs abut one another. Dan Hickie's father was a poet also
