  1. A man named Mr. Greany from Meentiflugh, Kiskeam, Newmarket, Co. Cork took the weight of 18 stone from the village of Kiskeam to his own house a distance of about two and a half miles. This happened about 10 years ago.
A cow fell into a drain in Knockeenadillane, Kiskeam, and two men were trying to pull her out but they could not. They went to a very strong man in that townland for help. The name of this man was Dan Brosnan and he caught the cow by the two horns and he pulled her out of the drain without any help. This happened about seven years ago.
