  1. Song

There is a neat little colleen in old Knockabo.

    I
There is a little colleen in old Knockabo,
A niece to grey Bessie as every one knows
Though Bessie objects Paddy courts her at will.
And they meet every night in the eye of the kiln.
    II
So Rick says this charmer of mine I must sack.
For courting the girls he has now got the knack.
When the year is out I must foot the bill.
For the whole time is spent in the eye of the kiln.
    III
T'was early next morning when Rick gave the call.
It rang through the house like a huge cannon ball.
His nerves are so shattered he is sleeping them still.
And he will never get back to the eye of the kiln.
