    Kanturk, Co. Cork, there are two forts; but I don't know if any history is attached to them.
    There is a fort in Mr. Cromin's land, of Clounteens, Lombardstown, Co. Cork and he ploughs it every year.

  2. In my district of Kanturk, Barony of Duhallow, in County Cork three forts are to be seen.
    One is situated in the townland of Gortnaconroe, in Mr. Thomas Lane's land. There are at present two ramparts round this fort; but it is believed that there were three ramparts round it. It is circular in shape; and is the largest one in my district.
