    to rain. If the cat sits with its tail to the fire it is going to rain. If the sky is blue there will be fine weather. Other people say that for a fine day there need be only enough blue in the sky to make a cloak for Our Lady. If you imagine that the surrounding hills are nearer then they should be, that is a sign of rain.
    If the wind raises the dust into the air then it will rain. If you see the direction the smoke is rising from the chimney, the wind is blowing from opposite that way.
