    The Moon: If there is a ring of light around the moon, it is supposed to rain.
    The Stars: If the stars are very bright and twinkling, then the night will be very fine, and it will freeze.
    The Clouds: If the clouds are black, it will rain and sometimes we will have a storm. If they are whiter we will have fine weather.
    The Rainbow: The rainbow is a sign of rain.
    The west wind brings the most rain to our district, because it blows across the sea to us.
    If a storm is threatening, this is what happens. The light goes suddenly darker, a great silence comes on everything. After a couple of minutes the wind starts blowing and whistling. Then big drops of rain fall. Then the storm bursts.
    People say that if the swallows fly low, that it is going to rain. also if a bird named the Curlew is heard calling it is going
