I know a man in Dumble Deed who set a garden full of seed.
When the seed began to grow like a garden full of snow,
When the snow began to melt like a soldier without his belt,
When the belt began to conquer like a ship without an anchor,
When the ship began to sail like a bird without a tail,
When the bird began to fly like an eagle in the sky,
When the sky began to fall like a rolling cannon ball,
Through a rock through a reel through an old spinning wheel
Through a basin full of pepper through an old sheep's leather
Through a horse's skin and bone such a riddle was never known.
Answer A Worm.

My father gave me seed to sow.
The seed was black and the ground was white
Riddle me that and I'll see if you're right
