  1. There is a lios in a farm in Farrenbrien and gold is supposed to be buried there.
    It was put there by the Danes or the Normans or by the Irish when they were stealing from each other. A ghost used to be seen there by the people and many of them went to dig the gold and they were turned into stones and the stones are to be seen yet.

  2. There is a large stone nearly round weighing about two tons in a field near where the main roads to Roberts cove and Ringabella branch off. There are two legends about this stone. One is that it was hurled by a giant from the opposite hill to frighten some sheep. The prints of the giant's fingers are
