  1. There is a fort in east Dunowen and it is called carú liosa. It is owned by Con Duggan. It is said that there was a crock of gold hidden there since the danes were in Ireland. There is a big rough ditch built all around it. Anyone didnt ever search for the gold. There is a bush in the middle of the field and it was under it the gold was hidden.
