    the light jig, the heavy jig, reel, hornpipe, quadrilles and polka.
    They were taught by dancing-masters, there were several of theses dancing-masters in the district. One of them was called Mr. Bohane.
    Mr Dan Harley who lived in Claddagh, Drimoleague mowed 2 acres of hay in a day, the field belonged to Mr Paul Kingston and it is now owned by Mr Danny Cathy.
    Mrs Hurley (Mr Dan Hurley's wife) told me her husband commenced to mow the field at 6 o'clock in the morning, and when he had finished the 2 acres that evening, he said he felt as supple as he ever did in his life. This Mr Hurley jumped over the railway gates at the Mall, about a mile east of Drimoleague.
    His son Mr Timothy Hurley now lives in Carlow and is a noted athlete; he has won several medals and valuable prizes for running.
