  1. In a certain field in the village of Cloneash there is supposed to be gold hidden. There is supposed to be a black hound guarding it. To get this gold you must dream nights about it and you must dig for it on a Sunday while Clonfad Mass is going on because the hound will be at Mass then and you will get the gold at the "Consecretion" of the Mass.
The owners of the field say this story is true. There is also supposed to be gold hidden in an old house in Cloneash. There is part of the kitchen in which there is no floor and there the gold is hidden with an eel minding it.
The house which was formerly a dwelling house is now converted in to stabling.
