    was not long in exixtance when it was found that there were some Worlds Record breakers in Clondrohid. In the year 1886 at a Sports meeting, in Limerick, Pat Looney of Kilpatrick, whose brother Tim was one of the famous football team mentioned above was one of three Athletes who broke the Worlds Record in the Running Hop, Step and Jump. The leading man covered a distance of 50ft 02 ins, and Pat Lonney, who tied with another Competitor for second place, covered 49ft. 9 3/4 in. Pat Looney was also a member of the "Team of Gaelic Invaders" who went to the United States immediately after, and competed at Manhatten Club Grounds.
    In a few years, Con Walshe of Carriganima came along, with the fifty six pound weight swinging from his Herculean arm. In his time he established no less than three World's Records with the missile which
