  1. "Cuas":-
    is a word used by the fishermen of this Parish. A "Cuas" is a narrow inlet among the rocks through which the Sea runs.
    "Móirín":-
    A "Móirín" is a small fish, which is found in rock-pools when the sea goes out.
    "Cuilg"
    A "Cuilg" is a small fish found in shallow water.
    "Gas"
    is a sea weed which grows on rocks or on the roots of stronger weeds. It picked and when dried it is eaten. It is brown in colour.
    "Craobhan"
    A "Craoban" is a small fish found in rock-pools. It is useless as food.
