    "Names of Fields"
    Páirc Caol:- This is a long narrow field.
    Páirc an Aitinn:- The field of the furze.
    Páircín Bháin:- There is an amount of white heather growing in this field.
    The Coinnleach:- The stubble field.
    "Gort":- The field of the crops.
    "Tualaig":- A hillock
    "Tobair":- The field of the well.
    Ladhar:- A tongue of land.

  2. Rossmacowen:- A district situated south of Hungary Hill. It got its name from a fort in which a man named Eoghain lived.
    Bohernua:- a townland in Rossmacowen east; it is so called because the new road from Bantry to Castletownbere passes through it.
    Sheila's Field:- in our townland there is a field which is called Sheila's Field. Long ago, an old woman known as Sheila Sullivan lived in a house in the farm. She knew no English and when she died, the people called the field by the name of "Sheila". At the end of the field is a height which is called "Sheila's Height" and it is now grown over with briars and furze.
