- There are two forts in this village, Cloonadra, one in Michael Brennans field, and the other in Joe Roche's field. The fort I am told most about is in Mike Brennan's field. There is no mound of earth, but the fairies were supposed to exist in the ground underneath the fort. People often heard them singing at night about ten o'clock. One night, my Uncle Luk Kilcline, was going home from rambling, he went to the ditch of the fort, and he heard the fairies singing and dancing inside, but could see nothing. There is a place about three miles from my village in fairymound called the steeple on the top of a high hill, and a fairy kind once existed there. There was a fairy stone at the top of the hill, and anyone who asked anything from Simon Hanly, would get it(leanann ar an chéad leathanach eile)
