    Long ago the country people made their own clothes. In every village there was a weaver and a tailor. After the wool had been washed, it was carded or combed. Then, it was brought to the weaver. When it was woven, it was dyed with ivy or heather.
    The ivy or heather was boiled in a pot and the material steeped in the water. When the material was dyed, it was passed on to the tailor. The tailor used to go around from house to house to make suits for those who wanted
