  1. In our district there are two fairy forts. Every night a light is to be seen going from one to the other. One November night Will o'Wisp is to be seen in various places in our district.
My grandfather was coming from town late one night. He took a short cut across a farm, he passed a fairy fort. He saw a party of little men kicking football. One of the men said: "Throw in the ball", and another little man said :"Go on your way, we are Kitty McGann's sons".
There is another fort in Aughnamallacht or Castlemine. A man went to cut a bush in the evening. It grew dark, and he had it not cut. When he had it half cut it began to bleed and he got afraid and he went home that night. He went to finish it next day and it was not cut at all.
