  1. Boxty.
    To make a boxty-cake you require raw potatoes and a scraper You rub the potatoes against the scraper until all the potatoes are done. Then you get a fine clean cloth to squeeze all the water out of the braised potatoes. Than you get salt and flour ready in a saucepan and mix the braise potatoes and the batter well together and than pour on the pan which has to be well greased and well warm also. It is generally cooked during the winter nights at the time of the digging, when the potatoes are plentiful.
