- My native village is Pollmount. It is about three miles from the nearest town of strokestown, about a half mile the chapel and a half mile from the school.
There are eight houses in my village and forty people. Most of the houses are galvanised but some of them are thatched and a few are slated. The ruins of an old house is to be seen beside my house. A river runs through the village and near it there are stones where old houses were built.
Only a few people went to America from my village. There are no old people in this townland.
There is also a fort in the Village.
