  1. An Irish man who was touring America, met a yankie-man who brought him about to show him the wonders of the country.
    The yank showed him a very high building and a great tall tree in one of the parks. "Now" said the American "you have nothing as large as these, to boast about in Ireland."
    "Well," retorted the Irish man, "we have a four-mile house and a two-mile bush in County Roscommon alone.
    The yankie next showed the Irishman an egg in a museum which weighed two Lbs.
    "Well now you surely could not beat that in Ireland" said the yank. "Indeed we could," said the Irishman. "How could you"" inquired the American.
    "With an egg beater" said the Irishman.
