- Churning.
We have a churn at home. It is two feet four inches high and the top of it is one foot seven inches in diameter.
There are six hoops around the churn and about six inches down from the top it is narrowed in a bit and this is called the ''cosheen.''
It is about thirty years in our house. It is a dash churn and there are various parts for it namely - the dash, the lid and the goggler.
Butter is made twice a week in both Winter and Summer. My mother does the churning and we all help her with it.(continues on next page)- Collector
