    Some people in and around Tawnyaskin never eat meat on St. Stephen's Day in commemeration of St. Stephens death.

  2. It is a custom around this part of the country on St. Stephens Day for boys to go from house to house playing all sorts of musical instruments. Some of them have violins and others have tin whistles. They dress themselves with cloths upon their faces, and white coats. They go about in crowds of threes, and sixes, and tens. When they come to the doors they play one of the musical instrument and
