  1. I have collected the following verses from my grandfather. This song was composed by the late Mr Jasper Tully of Boyle.
    Oh, Mary when your winning smiles
    Like all those waters blue
    Lough Key and all its wooded isles
    Are vanished from my view
    And when I leave my native home
    I crave no other boon
    Than once again Lough Key to roam
    And climb the Rock of Doon
    And when I climb its dizzy heights
    Proud Rockingham I see
    And the Plains of Boyle so bright
    That stretch beyond Lough Key
    Come, piper, play up a merry air
    The merriest one you know
    And for a while you'll chase dull care
    And let your spirits flow
