    5. A block of timber is put drying near the fire in readiness to be lighted Christmas morning. It is used as a "hob block" during Christmas.

    2. No person ever stirs from home on that night. Every member of the household remains in his own home.
    3. The rosary is recited before going to bed
    4. Beggarmen are always treated very decently. Never is anyone turned away without some present, money, food etc.
    5. The people have some kind of music if atall possible.
