  1. There are several Raths in our townland.
    In the townland of Ballydavis, there are five Raths. The names of them are:- bháile - datha Rath, Nevells Rath, Madams Rath, The Pit Rath, and Skeleton Rath. Some of them are in a high mound and the others are in a circle.
    Madam's Rath has a circle of white thorn bushes around it. At one time, about sixty years ago, a young man named Roberts cut a bush in it, and when the bush was half down, he lost his memory. He went around everafter as a fool. The bush is still there in the position growing.
    Music was also heard in it, and queer voices were heard also. A gray horse used to gallop
