    dismounted from his horse and looked behind the (th) tree. There he saw alittle man mending shoes. He at once knew what it was. Reaching out his hand he caught him & demanded the purse. Three times he demanded it. On the second time the leipreachan let a shout which seemed to come from behind the man. Knowing the leipreachan's tricks he did not look around. On the third time he got the purse and lived happily ever afterwards.
