    Oh! that night of glorious beauty,
    Oh! that night of rapturous joy,
    All the glory of its memory,
    Lapse of time cannot destroy.
    II
    All the beautious decorations,
    In Our Lady's honour made,
    Were a tribute of Affection,
    To the blesses spirit paid.
    III
    And the very sky was covered,
    In the Virgin's colours too,
    Clouds of fleecy white were floating
    O'er a sky of palest blue.
