    recovered until they died.
    Another farmer cut some trees in a rath near where his cows were grazing and after that the cows gave no milk. Old people tell us that the good people used to milk them. He sent for the priest who blessed the cows and made the man promise that he would never interfere with a rath again. We have a rath on our own farm but we never meddle with it
    Another man I heard of got a portion of land on a large farm. Near it there was an old rath. He cut down the trees and ploughed it. A few days later he became ill and never got better until he died.
