  1. About seven miles south of Clonenagh is a place called Cromogue. Saint Fintan also founded a church and monastery there.
    Strange stories are told about the well there. It is said that a woman took water out of it to boil potatoes. She brought it home but after much fire being wasted it did not appear to boil. She stuck a fork in a potato as she thought it to be but it was really the trout that was in the well. She discovered that it was alive and
