  1. Stories of the White Feet
The White Feet was a secret organisation who were fighting against the British Government.
They were spread throughout the country one crowd of them were living in a camp in Clough. Anyone could be a member of the White Feet.
They used to travel through the Country by night robbing + raiding for fire Arms or money or anything that would be of use to them.
At length the people got fed up with them.
A man named Paddy Brennan who was living in a house on my father's land, was a brave daring man.
One member of the White Feet was in the employment of Miss Mahon who lived on the opposite side of the road.
They had received the information through him that Paddy Byrne had two very valuable guns.
They decided to go one night when they reached the door they asked to be let in, Paddy refused to let them in.
They then told him that they would (broke) break the door in.
Paddy told them to try it but they did not.
