It is said in late years there was a Ghost seen in a house on the Vicarstown road just outside Stradbally.
The man that resided there coming home one night put the asses harness into a room where this Ghost was supposed to be, and they were thrown out again. He again put them in and the same happened. He continued all night until the priest came to his assistance in the morning
Another man said he did not fear ghosts and went to live in the house, and when going to bed a voice in the darkness said "There are only two of us in it.
He replied: "Wait a minute until I put on my boots and there will be only one of us in it.
