Only a couple of cases was a satisfactory agreement reached. The majority of landlords prosecuted, evicted, and even burned their houses.
My Daddy remembers the evictions on Lord Landstowns estate at Luggacurran seeing John Elliot the emergency man holing the roof over Mr. Kilbrides head in Luggacurran, and throwing his furniture out on the road as the result of agitations.
