  1. At Timogue there is a moud called the Moat. It belonged to Cosby. The orphans from the Stradbally Convent School were in the habit of coming out daily for years to play on it.
    In order to stop this Cosby got it planted with trees and then forbade them play on it.
    The trees never grew although they were planted many times.; even still the place is bare.
