    the swollen streams roared down the mountain side.
    The snow had its enjoyment too, and many a battle was fought on the white fields, the ammunition being supplied by snowballs. Many snowmen were made also, and these, too, got a good supply of the snow balls.
    When the white mantle disappeared, the people were glad to welcome back the green landscape.
