  1. (continued from previous page)
    He's now in Donadea
The moon is up and Hanlons troops
    From home have gone away
Before we're done to morrow sun
    A glorious sight you'll see
For on Kildare's plains we'll break the chains
    And set old Ireland free.
    III
    There's Captain Bourke from Barrettstown
Has gone with his brave band
His full 300 green clad youths
    He has at his command
And Cox's corps has left Donore
I fear the last I'll be
To reach the ground e'er the bugle sound
    To Fight for Liberty
    IV
The moon is up my Mary dear
    Now is our meeting time.
On the old hill of Ballinfagh
    We will fall into line
I hear the shouts the boys are out
    O hurry grád mo croide
With that Irish band we'll gain our land
    And set old Ireland free.
