  1. The following list was collected from various old people in the district.
    Children's ailments 1.
    Caraway Seeds are used for relieving flatulence, stomach disorders, and children's ailments
    Rheumatism 2.
    The Bogbean was used as a cure for rheumatism & skin diseases
    Diarrhoea & Dysentery 3.
    Blackberry Leaves are used for diarrhoea and dysentery.
    Dropsy 4.
    The Broom was a splendid remedy for dropsy. Many cases have been cured by taking it
    Coughs 5.
    Clover Tops were used for coughs. Often the most stubborn colds yielded to this cure.
    Nervous diseases 6.
    The Mistletoe is a powerful nervous remedy, especially useful in hysteria and epilepsy
