    the house was raided by enemies.
    the enemies knew well that the house was studded with trap doors so the tried every nook and corner. They pused open trap door and found their way through secret passages dropping bombs everywhere. They found the four unfortunate soldiers brought them out and shot them. Then the house was almost a mass of fire when they left it. The household prayed and shook holy-water on the fire. A miracle happened the fire quenched and the damages done were very slight.
    Many queer things happened in that house. In the still of the night fairies are seen their dancing and singing
