    had a very wicked step-mother. Eva was the little girls name. The step-mother hated Eva so much she put her out in an out house to live and gave her a crust every day. The girl saved up the crusts and one day she brought them out to give them to the birds. Her step-mother saw her and opened her apron to find it full with roses.
    One day the step-mother went to the door with a crust to find the girl dead. She had died with pnemonia because of the rain coming through the roof. That night two peasants were asleep in a wood and both dreamt of legions of Angels with
