    him. St. Patrick went and prayed on the rock and the mark of his knees are still to be seen.
    When Cromwell was passing Jerpoint Abbey he was struck by the beauty of the extensive building and he told his men not to touch it. When they were passed bells chimed out through the city and Cromwell thought his enemies were triumphant. He send his men back and they slaughtered every person there and they destroyed the Abbey.
